Fareed Haque is a genre-defying guitar virtuoso whose music fuses classical precision, jazz innovation, and global traditions. A former Blue Note artist and collaborator with Paquito D’Rivera, Sting, and Joe Zawinul, Haque’s fearless versatility and dazzling technique make him one of the most expressive and adventurous guitarists of our time.

Dan Lippel is a versatile and acclaimed guitarist known for his refined technique, deep musical insight, and commitment to contemporary music. A founding director of New Focus Recordings, he has premiered over 100 new works and performs worldwide with leading ensembles, bringing clarity and nuance to both classical and modern repertoire.

In this concert Fareed and Dan join forces in duo works composed by Joel Harrison, drawn from Harrison’s new release Guitar Talk Vol. 2.
Known for his fearless blend of genres and poetic sensibility, Harrison brings a composer’s precision and an improviser’s soul. He’ll also perform live on electric guitar in selected pieces alongside Haque.

Co-presented by Harrison’s Alternative Guitar Summit, this performance offers a rare opportunity to hear some of the finest guitarists of our time in a program that bridges not just styles, but sensibilities.
