New Music that connects – not isolates.
Tribeca New Music is a New York City–based platform for living composers and adventurous performers creating bold, accessible new work infused with American pop culture.
““High-quality performance… anti-elitist avant pop programming.””
What is Tribeca New Music?
Tribeca New Music is a New York City–based presenting organization dedicated to living composers.
We produce concerts, festivals, competitions, and digital media that support the full life cycle of new music—from creation to performance to long-term public access.
At its core, TNM builds meaningful connections between composers, performers, and a growing audience of listeners curious about new work.
What We Do
Concerts & Festival
A curated season of performances in New York City, culminating in the annual Tribeca New Music Festival.
Young Composer Competition
A national program supporting emerging composers through recognition, feedback, and professional performance opportunities.
TNM InViews
An interview series offering audiences direct insight into the creative voices behind the music.
Digital Webcasts
Professionally produced concert videos that extend each performance to a global audience.
WHY IT MATTERS
Most new music is performed once and disappears.
TNM ensures that new work continues to live—through performance, documentation, and digital access.
We connect composers, performers, and audiences in ways that extend beyond the concert hall.
IMPACT
A growing platform for new music in New York and beyond
• 5–6 concerts presented annually in NYC
• Annual festival featuring leading and emerging artists
• 200+ composers engaged annually through competition programs
• Expanding global audience through digital media and webcasts
