Maya Fortune is an arts administrator, professional musician, and dancer with a focus on the production and business processes that support the creative industries. She holds a B.A. from McGill University in Music, Social Entrepreneurship, and Medieval Studies.
A classically trained violinist, Maya has performed a wide range of repertoire—from traditional to contemporary and pop music—across the United States and Canada, with appearances at Kaufman Music Center, Carnegie Hall, and Greenspace at WQXR.
Maya is the Programs and Marketing Assistant at Young Concert Artists, where she manages ticketing, supports programming, leads social media and email marketing, analyzes audience metrics, and produces photo and video content for concerts, educational residencies, and special events.
In addition to her role at Young Concert Artists, Maya serves as Social Media Marketing Manager and a board member of Tribeca New Music, and is the editor and host of TNM’s InViews series, where she interviews composers and performers featured in the organization’s programming.
Her previous experience includes roles at Special Music School and Kaufman Music Center, a marketing internship with the Kronos Performing Arts Association, and a Creative Enterprise Apprenticeship in the Office of the President at The Juilliard School, where she contributed to interdisciplinary projects and institutional initiatives.
